This week, I want to share a poem and some photos inspired by a day-trip to Canmore last week. I don’t consider myself a poet or a photographer by any means (my camera is my iPhone), but I definitely want to learn more about both art forms. The mountains never fail to clear my head, give me a fresh perspective, and renew my desire to explore my creativity.
Where do you go to find renewal?
“Morning Drive”
Crack open the window, fresh breeze frees
My spirit as sunlight soaks my soul
White-tipped mountain peaks whisper soft serenity
Yet bellow freedom, and all is as it should be.
I am free.
Song of the week: “Born to Die” – Lana Del Rey

Rachel, thank you for sharing your poetry.
I enjoyed reading it, and it was very easy to imagine you in a car, almost into the foothills, looking at the slops that face you, and being captured by their awe and beauty. I hope you will share more.
