“When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you.” – Lao Tzu
Yep, I’m late posting this week. I apologize. Yesterday I was too busy enjoying Thanksgiving doing absolutely nothing in the company of great friends. In the spirit of the holiday, however, I did spend some time reflecting on gratitude.
To paraphrase Lao Tzu (wise dude that he was), gratitude is liberating. Regardless of any stress or hardships you may be presently facing, focusing on something good in your life, no matter how small, and expressing sincere thanks for it, opens up a whole new way of looking at the world. Gratitude is a motivator.
Today, I’m grateful for my coffee (oh turkey, you’re like a drug), grateful for my friends and family, and grateful for all you, my readers. Thanks for always motivating me to keep writing. It means more to me than you know.
