“Without change, something sleeps inside us, and seldom awakens. The sleeper must awaken.” – Frank Herbert
Now that September is upon us and a “new year” (at least in the academic world) has begun, I’d like to open this blog up for discussion so as to gain a better perspective on where to take it in the months and (hopefully!) years to come. That’s right, I’m making you do the work this week.
I can’t thank you guys, the readers – friends, strangers, and colleagues – enough for continuing to follow Freelancing to Freedom every week. Now I would like to give back to you by writing specifically about what you want to hear.
So lay it on me. Is there a topic in particular you’ve always hoped I’d cover? Do you prefer the posts that are more practical or those meant to inspire? Post your thoughts as a comment directly on the blog or send me an email at rachel.small@editors.ca.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Namaste 🙂
Hello!
This is entirely selfish, but I’d love to hear more about life as a freelancer (even a freelancer of the editing variety). Any tips or things you’ve leaned in your career so far that you can share, especially tips related to freelancing and travelling.

I have to agree with carrie. I would like to hear about how you manage to keep busy as a freelance editor, and, as long as it doesn’t cause conflict with clients, what kinds of projects you’re working on.

Are friendly, strange colleagues included in that list of readers?

Was not the sleeper the originator of the Dream, before anyone told them about it? They must awaken from their own dreams. Everyone can only speculates on what the dream is, maybe providing clarity to it.
So, what’s your dream, Rachel? Now, do it.

Thanks for the feedback, Carrie, Ryan, and Ivan. And yes, Sue, it does 😉
