Freelancing to Freedom

I forgot to mention that I met my goal of meeting another freelance editor! This weekend I went to a networking event put on by the Professional Writers Association of Canada. I had the chance to chat with a few freelance editors, a magazine editor, and several freelance writers about author/editor relationships. It was so nice to talk to people who have been in the industry for years – I received some great advice and a few business cards. It was nerve-racking going by myself, but it turned out to be a great decision that further solidified my resolve to take more risks.
